Finally Photos from BCHW Dream Ride

These are just a few of the photos we shot at the wonderful ranch in Cle Elum this past weekend. The whole weekend was great. Meeting new people, learning new things, realizing that you need to have extra water when the dry wind is always blowing and creating a fun atmosphere.

We are looking foward to next year's event and we will have even more offerings. Like a wall portrait display and some desk collections.

Getting close for Military Month

Well, that is it in a nutshell.

We are part of a nation wide effort to photograph 10,000 military families this September. We are looking for the word to get out that this is completely FREE. The family members come into my studio and have a small session. We are partnered with Fuji and many other companies to deliver a 5x7 portrait to the soldier stationed somewhere overseas.

I have already gotten requests for military families that do not have anyone stationed overseas. I have set up a Military Appreciation Session and Photo packages at the lowest rates ever. Instead of a commitment of over $200, session and photo packages will start at $50.

Those that serve our country in the military have always been close to my heart. That includes all the spouses of the active duty forces. We all know that they serve without recognition.

Dream Ride Weekend in Cle Elum

The weekend was great. It was a bit hot and dusty and very windy, but we all had a great time. I was able to learn a bit more about horses of all different types. And my three children or rather two children and one adult child had a great time getting reacointed with horses or learning for the first time.

I hope they have us back again next year. The promised photos are still on my laptop that is still at home, so I will have to wait till tomorrow to up load some of my favorites.

Western Dream Ride BCHW

I will be joing the Olympic Chapter of Backcountry Horsemen of Washington for their Western Dream Ride at the Flying Horseshoe Ranch in Cle Elum.
We will be photographing the three day event while enjoying the lovely countryside and of course the pool side too.

These photos are just my kids getting ready for joining us at the ranch and enjoying a little bit of horseback riding themselves.
I will post more when I get back next week.
