My Dad

I have been absent from blogging for awhile because my Dad just passed away and I was very distracted. We had a couple of wonderful last visits with him and are very glad of that. The photo above is of him this past July with his 3 grandchildren. (My kids) The full family (just about) and one of him and myself just a few (lots) years ago!

So you want to have your photo taken? Do you want indoors or outdoors? We don't make you choose here. We start with some controlled lighting with the studio photos then with every high school senior session of the 60 or the 90, we add some outdoor photos that take place very close by.

Passport photos

As you can tell, this is not a passport photo. Sorry, they aren't as fun as studio photos!

But, we do specialize in the difficult passports.

Babies
Any country out there as long as you bring the specifications for that country.
Visas for USA or any other country, as long as you bring the specs.
Even Phillipian passports where a bright blue background is needed.
These specialized passports do cost a bit more, but they will be done right!

Yes, as mundane as they are we also do passport photos. And it only takes a few mins! We also have an information sheet that you may take with your photos. It covers everything you need for getting your passport.
No, we do not issue passports. They are a federal form of id and there are many places in the county that we can point you to.

High School Seniors

It's that time of year again.
High School seniors needing to get their portraits taken in time to make it into the yearbook! Wheather you like formal studio photos, or more casual outdoor pics, I can bring the best out of you!
If you are one of thoes teens that say they never take a good photo, don't worry! I will take the great photo of you.

2 Days

Well, it's official. I won't be alone on this upcoming Saturday! Because there are no appointments taken I havn't heard how many will be here, but I now know of at least 4 that are coming. I hope there will be lots more.
Here is a tip for clothing.
Simple is better then complex. Your eyes are drawn toward busy patterns, like stripes, polka dots or 'hawaiian' patterns. Solids are great for portraits. Remember, this is a photo of you not your clothes. Dark colors are better then light colors. Your eyes are also drawn to the lightest part of the photo. Now, if you want others to stare at the white shirt with blue polka dots, you know what to wear.

Free Avitar Photo - One Day Only

Did you see the word Free???
Yes, I really mean free. Saturday the 22nd of May, that's in just 9 days, we will have the studio open from 10am to 3pm to say a big thank you to all who helped us to reopen our studio and lab. This is also a day to invite anyone who finds out about the free session to come down for a free avitar photo.
There are a couple of rules for this photo.
1) No more then 2 people in the photo. Families are too difficult for free. However, you can have each member of the family get their own photo taken separately.
2) Only one free avitar photo per family. Additional ones from same family are only $5 each.
3) If you want prints they will be avaiable at rock bottom prices. More on that later.
4) No appointments will be taken. First come first served. That could mean that I will be busy or no one will show up. We shall see.
5) No pets. Again too difficult for free.
6) No clothing changes. These are short sessions, so arrive in what you want to wear.
7) I will be shooting more then one photo per session, but let's not get carried away.

Will post on clothing choices later. You may call and ask any questions you like.

We are OPEN!

We finally got our final inspection and are officioally OPEN! It has been a long hard journey and I am very glad that it's mostly over.
There is still lots left to do. Mainly make everything look pretty. We need paint just about everywhere. I have my first session in the freshly painted studio this coming Thursday and am looking forward to shooting again. It has been awhile. It's even a HS senior from the class of 2010! I love seniors!

I keep thinking we will be open next Tuesday.

We still have no firm date of our opening, however, things are sooooo close! We got our old sign from the previous space moved to our new space and will have it hooked up with power soon.
And in anticipation of reopening our studio, I want to invite the Central Kitsap High class of 2010 to come on by for their senior photos! We can do wonders in just a short time.
